Background is a matte painting based on San Rafael High School, but I moved Mt. Tam, added more buildings, and changed the compostion of the school as well as adding night sky. Exploding lights created in Particle Illusion.

This was my last film for ILM as a Digital Supervisor. I was very aware at the time of the coming CG challenge from Weta with Gollum, so we worked very hard to make Dobby as realistic as possible. He was the first ILM character to use sub-surface scattering. Frank Gravatt did a fantastic job on the modelling.
